Anniversary Packages in Saigon: Plan the Right Moment

By the Cáo Moments team · 2026-11-01

An anniversary package in Saigon is a fully coordinated celebration we design around your couple's story. We choose a venue (rooftop bar with river views, boutique garden space, or private hotel suite), arrange a custom dinner menu with a partner venue, commission fresh flowers and a custom cake, set lighting and music, and position a hidden photographer to capture candid moments—all managed on WhatsApp in English. Most couples book 3–6 weeks ahead; rain backups and vendor coordination are our job. The scope and feel depend on what you want (intimate dinner, surprise announcement, vow renewal), not a fixed menu. Learn more about our planning process.

What does an anniversary package actually include?

When you work with Cáo Moments, we handle five interconnected pieces: venue choice and booking, dinner coordination, florals and decor, a custom cake or dessert, hidden photography or videography. You don't choose a pre-set "Silver" or "Gold" tier—instead, we listen to your story (how long you've been together, what this year meant, what makes you both laugh) and propose a setup that fits. One couple might want a quiet dinner by a window with white orchids and a small two-tier cake; another wants a surprise vow renewal with string lights, a three-course menu, and full video coverage. We source vendors we've worked with before, confirm availability, and manage every confirmation on WhatsApp so you see what's happening. If a florist runs short on a specific bloom, we pivot. If the weather turns, we activate a covered backup space. You show up; we've already solved the logistics.

How do we choose the right venue for you?

The venue sets the mood, timing, and what's possible for decor and surprise setup. We ask: do you want to be known to the staff (a regular restaurant where servers will help with the surprise), or completely private (a hotel suite or garden space where only we control the moment)? Do you prefer central Saigon (walking distance to the cathedral, close to nightlife if you want to extend the evening), or a quieter outlying spot (a riverside garden, a villa with a pool)? How many guests—just the two of you, or family or close friends? Daytime or evening? Indoor or outdoor (which means rain backup). Once we know these constraints, we propose 2–3 venues we've worked with, show you photos of the setup, confirm they can deliver your dinner date, and move forward. A rooftop with a river view suits anniversary reflection; a garden space works for renewal ceremonies; a private suite is ideal for surprise announcements.

What's the timeline for booking an anniversary package?

We recommend contacting us 4–6 weeks before your target date. Here's why: venues book up, especially weekend evenings; custom cakes need 2–3 weeks' lead time for design and trial flavor; hidden photographers may be assigned to other events; florists need time to source seasonal blooms. If you're booking within 3 weeks, we can often still deliver (we keep vendor relationships close), but we may have fewer options and need to move faster on decisions. Once you confirm the date and venue, we lock bookings immediately. Then we schedule a WhatsApp check-in to finalize the dinner menu, confirm cake design and flavor, brief the photographer on your story and must-have shots, and test the decor setup for lighting and rain scenarios. On the day itself, we arrive early, position flowers and lighting, brief the restaurant or venue staff, cue the photographer, and stay available on your phone in case anything shifts. Most couples give us their WhatsApp link to confirm they're running on time; we handle the rest.

How do we keep the surprise—and what if your partner has doubts?

If one partner is organizing and the other is being surprised, trust is everything. We never contact your partner before the moment (we only reach out to the person booking). We use neutral language in any shared notes ("dinner reservation confirmed") and never hint at decor or photography. If the surprised partner feels uneasy the day before (suspects something), we lean into honesty: we confirm it's a nice dinner, we're ensuring it's smooth, and they can relax. Surprise anxiety is real—some couples find the anticipation sweeter than the moment itself, and that's okay. For milestone anniversaries (10 years, 25 years), we sometimes suggest a semi-surprise: the partner knows it's special, but not the location or decor details. This removes the stress and keeps the delight. We also document the whole evening on camera, so even if one partner is nervous, they'll have footage that captures the real emotion—often more powerful than the moment felt in the moment. How do we handle the details couples actually worry about?

Real concerns: What if it rains? (We secure a covered backup venue or a marquee; outdoor setups always have a Plan B.) What if the cake cracks? (We bring a repair kit and work with the baker on a structural design that travels; small cracks are invisible once plated.) What if the photographer misses the key moment? (We brief them on your story and position them in two spots; we also ask a second person to capture candid phone footage as backup.) What if the restaurant runs late and we're behind schedule? (We build a 30-minute buffer into timing and stay in contact with the kitchen.) What if you change your mind about flowers two weeks out? (We've already sourced them, but we can adjust color or style up to a week before, and we use seasonal blooms so they're available.) The mindset we bring is: your evening is non-repeatable, so we over-prepare. We've worked with enough Saigon vendors to know their rhythm—which florist delivers early, which baker does best-day flavor, which photographer shows up 15 minutes early. That's what "coordination" means.

What do couples actually choose? (A comparison of scope)

What you wantWho it's forWhat's includedGood for
Intimate dinner + flowersPartners who prefer quiet, minimal fussVenue, custom menu, fresh bouquet on table, 1 photographer for 2–3 hoursAnniversaries where togetherness is the goal
Full setup with decor & cakePartners who love ceremony and detailVenue, dinner, florals, string lights or candles, custom cake, full photo + video, 4–5 hours coordinationMilestone years (10, 25), vow renewals, major milestones
Surprise announcement setupOne partner organizing for the otherVenue, dinner, photo team with hidden positioning, cake with custom message, backup staff alert for surprise momentFirst-time surprises, proposals disguised as anniversaries, gender reveal during anniversary dinner
Garden or outdoor venueCouples who want scenery + flexibilityVenue with water access or greenery, full decor setup with rain backup, lighting, flowers, photographer, 2-course dinnerLate afternoon or early evening, broader guest list possible, Instagram-worthy backdrop

The choice isn't about budget alone—it's about what the moment means. A couple renewing vows after a tough year might want decor and ceremony. New-to-marriage couples often prefer intimacy and good photography. Long-married couples sometimes want a whole party with family, and we can scale that too; we've coordinated family anniversary dinners for 20+ guests. Start by telling us your vision.

What to check before you book

Before you reach out, ask yourself: Date locked in? (Confirm the exact day; we work weekdays too, not just weekends.) Guest count clear? (Just you two, or others? This shifts venue and dinner size.) Budget scope? (Are you thinking intimate or grand? We quote based on what you want, not a preset tier.) Any dietary needs or allergies? (Tell us upfront; vendors need this information early.) Do you have a photographer preference? (We have a team; some styles are more documentary, some more posed—describe what matters to you.) Rain scenario acceptable? (We always have a backup, but some couples need to know it's covered or are happy with outdoor risk.)

The biggest mistake we see: couples booking too close to the date and then having limited venue options. The second: underestimating how much time a truly custom cake takes—if you want a specific flavor or sculptural design, order early.

More ways we help you celebrate

Beyond anniversary dinners, we coordinate marriage proposals with the same attention to detail—same photographers, same vendor network, same WhatsApp coordination. If your anniversary falls during Valentine's season or around a milestone birthday, we can layer those moments too. For couples renewing vows, we offer elopement and vow renewal setups with officiants and witnesses. And if you're pairing your anniversary with a honeymoon or babymoon surprise elsewhere in Vietnam—we cover Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An, and Phu Quoc too. Read more stories from other couples.

FAQ

How far in advance do we need to book an anniversary package in Saigon?

We recommend 4–6 weeks to secure venue, florist, and photographer availability. If you're booking within 3 weeks, contact us immediately—we often have capacity, but your venue and vendor options will be narrower. Holiday periods (Tet, Christmas) fill faster.

Can we customize the menu, or does the venue have a fixed dinner?

We coordinate with partner venues to build a custom menu around your preferences and dietary needs. You're not locked into a preset package. We discuss cuisine type, course count, and any dishes with personal meaning. Some couples request dishes from their first date.

What if one of us is allergic to the planned flowers or has a scent sensitivity?

Tell us immediately. We source alternative blooms with the same color and style. Fresh flower allergies are common; we've built relationships with florists who can pivot quickly. Some couples also prefer potted plants or dried flowers if that feels better.

Do we have to have a photographer, or can we just have a dinner?

Photography is optional. Some couples want only the experience and no record; others want full documentation. We offer 2–3 hour photo coverage or full evening video. If you skip professional coverage, a friend can still capture moments on their phone.

What happens if the restaurant we choose gets double-booked or has an emergency the day before?

We confirm all bookings in writing and stay in direct contact with venues 48 hours before. If an emergency happens, we activate a backup venue of similar style and atmosphere—we have relationships with multiple partner restaurants in Saigon. This has never caused a couple's evening to fall through; we prioritize contingency planning from day one.

Can we invite family or friends, or does it have to be just the two of us?

Both work. If you want family or close friends present, we scale the venue and dinner accordingly—some partner restaurants have private dining rooms. If you want only the two of you with a hidden photographer and a small group for a surprise reveal afterward, we can do that too. Let us know the guest count so we book the right space.
